Data Collection

Cling does not collect, sell, or share personal data with Jin Factory.

Accessibility Permission

Cling uses macOS Accessibility permission only to move and resize the currently focused window when you choose a command or press a configured shortcut. Window data is processed locally on your Mac.

Drag Snapping

When drag snapping is enabled, Cling listens locally for mouse drag and release positions near screen edges so it can apply a snap command. It does not record keystrokes, capture screen contents, or send drag information anywhere.

Preferences

Settings such as shortcuts, snap gaps, ignored apps, drag snapping, and custom layouts are stored locally on your Mac. Launch at login and menu bar visibility remain device-specific.

Network

Cling does not require an app account and does not contact a Jin Factory server for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
